A: At present there is no "hard core" scientific data on the effect of emitted energy on malignant cells. It probably does not kill them, but as is suggested in the book The Body Electric (Becken Robert O.; N.Y; Morrow, 1985) the introduction of an energy field might influence cells to return to a more dedifferentiated state in which case they could become harmless.

Q: What effect does the treatment have on live bacteria and viruses? Could they be moved to other locations and cause infections in the kidneys?

A: Yes, it can be moved, but the movement through the fluid systems seems to aid in the elimination of them. Moreover, clearing the lymph system, the lymph system being part of the immune system, significantly enhances the effectiveness of the body to deal with pathological conditions.

Q: Could smoke, dust, etc. be moved from the lymph nodes and clog up the kidneys?

A: Particulate matter is moved from the tissue as part of the interstitial cleaning function of the lymphatics, which it is supposed to do but does not always when it is working inefficiently. However, there has never been a case of renal dysfunction nor, for that matter, infection in the great number of patients being treated. If anything, renal function is enhanced by the use of the energy field over the kidneys.

Q: Can the emission of the device be classified as laser?  If not how does it differ?

A: The emission of the device is diffuse and actually the opposite of the laser's which is coherent light. The theory of healing is also completely different.

Q: What is the effective penetration distance?

A: Practice has demonstrated that any part of the body can be reached and affected by the use of the device except in the case of grossly overweight subjects. The energy travels less well through adipose tissue and, on areas such as the buttocks, it is sometimes difficult to treat effectively the lumbar and iliac nodes of those patients. Penetration studies are difficult because the energy movement is different in vivo than it is in vitro. Also, the matter of detectors is controversial since we must work in living tissue and the effects may be direct or a complex interaction of effects caused by perturbations and conversions at different levels. However; monitoring results by using a drop of blood from the patient before and after treatments, it is quite remarkable to see beneficial changes in their metabolic balance.

Q: What is the effect on the skin surface? Would it sterilize wounds, affect skin disorders, enhance healing of burns or cuts, help drain boils, or affect skin cancers in any way?

A: On the surface it is a different matter. The direct action of the energy on wounds can destroy bacterial and viral complexes. It also enhances healing, drains boils, etc. mainly by virtue of the action of the immune/lymph system. The combined efforts of the immune system's anti-infective actions and the lymphatic's drainage of waste and the by-products of inflammations in turn affect all of the above conditions.

Q: Is there any esthetic value to the treatment? Like cellulites, double chins, skin texture?

A: Very definitely yes. Considering the fact, that 60% of the lymph vessels are located in the epidermis and the skin being absorbent to both internal and external pollutions, by clearing and freeing lymph circulation the skin becomes elastic, smooth and radiant.

Q: Would the lymph therapy play an important role in prevention?

A: Yes. In my opinion health, youth and beauty begins and ends with the lymphatic system hedonistically speaking. Aging, as to my findings, is the result of slow toxemia; disease is the result of waste accumulation creating subjective stress.
