Natural Health, Jan/Feb, 1996 - Breakthroughs in Cancer Research

von Viczay's Lymph Detox

For the past thirty years, naturopathic physican Marika von Viczay has explored different non-toxic methods for treating cancer, with a focus on fortifying the immune system."

von Viczay's major contribution to the field of cancer care is a novel system for enhancing the body's immune and detoxification capacities.  During the 1980s she discovered that light emissions could be used to open up the lymphatic system, a system of ducts and nodes that helps the body assimilate nutrients and remove toxins from the blood stream.

For von Viczay, who calls herself a lymphologist, very few people actually die of cancer - they die from an excessive build-up of toxins.  This is where the lymphatic system comes into play.  As people grow old and become less active, she says, the flow of lymph fluid becomes impaired.  Muscle tension (stress) can further contribute to accumulations of toxins and protein that begin to amass in the lymph vessels and nodes, which become clogged and inflamed, thus creating a "traffic jam" in the lymph channels.

"When the lymphatic circulation slows down, the system becomes toxic and oxygen deprived."  von Viczay says.  "This is when cancer and other serious degenerative ailments can develop."

Natural Health, Nov/Dec, 1995 - Bras Hooked to Breast Cancer

About the book Dressed to Kill: The Link Between Breast Cancer and Bras

Though the authors presume to have originated the bra-breast cancer theory, the idea was first proposed Hungarian lymphologist Marika von Viczay, N.MD., Ph.D., in the early 1970s.  von Viczay who schedules regular "bra burning rituals" with patients attending her health and rejuvenation clinic in Asheville, North Carolina, has developed a special lymphatic detoxification to help battle breast cancer.

Alternative Medicine Digest - Issue 9 - Move Your Lymph

Mainstream medicine ignores the lymph system, but its activity is crucial to the health of the immune system and for recovery from illness.  When Dr. Marika von Viczay gets the lymph moving, breast cancer, back pain, prostatitis, fibromyalgia, and hormonal imbalances start to clear up.

Aging is a slow poisoning, a lifetime accumulation of toxins in the body, states Marika von Viczay, N.MD., Ph.D., medical director of the I.S.I.S. Health and Rejuvenation Center in Asheville, NC.  A primary reason for this toxic build-up is a lymphatic system that does not due its proper work of drainage.

From the book Purify Your Body

Dr. von Vivzay teaches patients that when lymphatic circulation slows down, your systems become toxic and cancer can develop.  Muscle tension, stress, and inactivity also contribute to the impairment of your lymph fluid flow.  As a result, toxins and protein accumulate in the lymph vessels and nodes, which then become clogged and inflamed.  The fluid thickens, and your systems become toxic and oxygen-deprived.  Not only cancer, but other serious degenerative disorders can develop.  To prevent, heal, and detox, you need to rid your body of lymph congestion, clearing out the waste debris, toxins, and fatty acids that the lymph system is designed to filter and eliminate from the body.

Natural Way - May/Jun, 1997 - Lethal Lingerie?

Marika von Viczay, N.MD., Ph.D.

People don't really die of cancer-they die of toxemia.  If a bra is worn all day long, lymph can begin to accumulate in some vessels, which coagulates.  Accumulated lymph is a traffic jam, a concentrated toxic environment, which cuts down on oxygenation.  Bras do not cause breast cancer, but certainly are a contributing factor because of constrictive circulation.  If you are makeing Jell-O, it's nice and fluid; if it stands, it coagulates.  The same thing happens in the breast.
